Candidates sent out automated phone calls - called "robocalls."

A call from the John McCain campaign won the "Robo" award for the "worst" robocall. The National Political Do Not Contact Registry held online voting for the "Robos" recently.

And besides the "worst" robocall, an anti-Hillary Clinton call got the award for "weirdest."

There were also several runners-up in each category, which you can see on the Web site.
