Texan voice behind "weirdest robocall of 2008"

The National Political Do Not Contact Registry has been lobbying Congress to put an end to political robocalls - those prerecorded campaign pitches that were conveniently exempted from the Do Not Call registry.

To bring more attention to the issue, the Washington D.C.-based group today released the results of its first ever Robocall People’s Choice Award (AKA The Robos!).

The winner for "weirdest" robocall of the year went to Austinite Robbert Morrow, who flooded phonelines in South Carolina in January with allegations about Bill and HIllary Clinton's White House years. Click here to listen to the call.

Morrow is regarded by many as the most fervent anti-Hillary activist in the country.

The winner for worst robocall of the year went to one from John McCain's campaign devoted to Bill Ayers.
