Don’t you just hate those robotic political calls?

Turns out a lot of people do. Enough people to vote local Web site StopPoliticalCalls.org a winner in Internet news blog Mashable.com’s second annual Open Web Awards.

The site, operated by National Political Do Not Contact Registry, a D.C. nonprofit founded by executive-turned-activist Shaun Dakin, took top honors in the contest’s people’s choice category for nonprofit causes.

Another local company took honors in the blogger’s choice category for embeddable widgets: McLean widget-maker Clearspring Technologies Inc.
