Learn About The Candidates, the Facts And Get Involved
Citizens for Civil Discourse believes that each
citizen deserves to be in control of the
political conversation. That starts with
controlling who can contact you via the
telephone in your own home.
We encourage you to learn about the issues and the candidates so that you can make your own decision on your own time about issues that you and your family care about. And about the candidates that you support.
First, make sure that you are registered to vote by going to your state voting website. If you haven't registered, Declare Yourself is a good place to start; click here to learn more.
This section of the site provides you with easy to find links to candidates and parties that you may like to learn more about.
The Facts:
It is often difficult to tell truth from fiction when it comes to political speech.
A highly recommended place to learn about the facts is the non partisan organization, Fact Check.org.
Fact Check.org is non-partisan non-profit "consumer advocate" that aims to reduce the amount of deception and confusion in American politics. They monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases.
Their goal is to increase public knowledge and understanding.
