Senators, Suspend This!

Today (9/24/2008), John McCain stunned the nation and said that he would suspend all campaign activities to deal with the economic crisis facing the nation.

The members of the National Political Do Not Contact Registry ask: Will he suspend robo calls as well? How about Senator Obama?

"I am calling on the president to convene a meeting with the leadership from both houses of Congress, including Senator Obama and myself," McCain told reporters in New York. "It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem."

Today, the members of The National Political Do Not Contact Registry call on John McCain and Barack Obama to come together during this economic crisis and while they suspend their campaigns we ask that they also suspend all robo call activities across the nation. And, while they are at it, perhaps they can get their respective parties to do the same thing.

What about the candidates down ballot?

And the outside interest groups? (527's, the PACs, the Unions, the Swift Boaters, etc..)

As millions of Americans are thrown into economic uncertainty, it is enough to have to deal with possible job losses and retirement savings disappearing.

Americans should not have to deal with the invasion of privacy that are political robo calls.
